The Summer STEM Experience provides a week long overnight camp for high school students to learn about life as a college student and gain experience in an array of STEM fields: Tech, engineering, physics

The newly rebranded New Mexico Tech MechE Mayhem Robotics Education Program is an open-source comprehensive educational curriculum developed by engineering and science students at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology to assist in the education of future NM STEM student. Our program seeks to provide engaging hands-on, STEM projects and classroom curriculum support to k-12 schools across the state of New Mexico. In the 2023-24 academic year we supported programs and events at 47 schools and engaged with over 6,000 students and teachers.

The 70th Annual New Mexico Science and Engineering Fair will be held April 1-2, 2022 on the New Mexico Tech campus in Socorro. Exhibitors at the State Science and Engineering Fair have qualified to attend through their Regional Science Fair competition.

Founded in 1984, Science Olympiad is the premier team STEM competition in the nation, providing standards-based challenges to 6,300 teams at 425 tournaments in all 50 states. 2025 Rules available 9/3/24, followed by fall workshops and national Workshop Wednesdays showcasing innovative content. The Middle School Expo is a program for 120 middle school students to come and experience a day at NM Tech!
